DON'T MOVE HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO LIVE IN A DORM/PROJECTS

I am writing because I can't wait until my lease is up. I moved here about 6 months ago from up North and without knowing much about Huntsville we did what most out-of-towners would do...find an apartment. We chose Highland Pointe because this was probably the closest thing in comparison to what I would live in if I had to move into an apartment. We came down about a month prior to moving to Huntsville to apartment shop. When we came here it was on a weekend and Steve showed us some apartments. We chose this one because it was one of the newest and expensive apartments and we figured only classy and professional people would live here. Boy was I wrong!!! We moved here in April and we had the luxury of living beneath 3 college guys from Oakwood University. They were a little noisy, but after a 1 or 2 times of my husband going up there they stopped making noise. The semester ends for them and they move out. I was home one day and realized that there was noise going on above my head, but i figured they were doing turnover cleaning. The turnover rate is extremely high here. The noise above my head this time were 3 college females depending on the day moved above my head from Oakwood University. These are some noisy females!!! They make more noise than my children with running across the floor from 10 pm until they get tired. I have on several occassions spoke to Donna (leasing manager) about the noise and she informed me to call the Courtesy Officer. My husband originally would go up there and knock on the door, but they would never answer. I understand that they are college students and want to have fun, but the noise is ridiculous. It's bad enough the apartments were cheaply made so you have to deal with the noisy pipes after each flush or when the shower is on, but do I have to live in a dorm!!! I had to call the Courtesy Officer last night because they startled me out of my sleep at 2:42 am with running across the floor and laughing loudly. I am moving out when my lease is up because although this is a nice looking apartment, the turnover is high and they are moving in anyone and everyone just as long as they can pay the rent. In about 2 years this will also be deemed a project because I don't think the management cares about their residents and they just want to make their numbers.
