I moved into Lily Flagg Apartments with high hopes for my first apartment away from my parents. My roommate and I were too naive to understand the finer points of a lease, but that wasn't the problem.

The problem lies in the management staff. They were rude to us, but we had never caused them any problems. We paid rent on time every month and they hardly heard a peep from us until something broke. Once something broke, it was as if it would never stop.

Our heater went out the first Christmas we were there. It took over 4 days to fix the heater.

Our A/C unit broke and leaked all over our floors. It took forever to get that fixed and when they discovered it had rusted through and when they took the unit out, they dripped rust all over our carpet, promised to have it cleaned, but it never was.

They promise to either change your wallpaper or clean your carpets for you once every 6 months while you're there. This never happened, no matter how many times we asked. When asked why our wallpaper had never been changed in the 2.5 years we lived there, they said it was because no one was ever home, so they gave up. How were we supposed to be home if they never told us to be there'

Management is poor. They treat young residents like second-class residents and make promises they never intend to keep to convince you to sign a lease.

You admit to being "naive" about the finer points of your lease. I assure you, before I confronted the staff with an issue, I researched my rights and insisted they be observed. That led to the respect and admiration the staff and I have today. I implore you to consider this as a means to protect yourself in the future. In the meantime, get the silver spoon out of your mouth, get off your butt, and learn to work at protecting yourself before laying blame on someone else just because it is your time of the month. (Besides, you're probably the little trollope who had an open door to every horny male in SE Huntsville and made so much noise next to me at 2 AM in the morning.)

ghost24: You are way out of line! You didn't even mention anything about the apartment complex, you just trashed the reviewer. I have flagged your response for removal. You sound like someone from the office who is angry about a bad review. Strange that you assume the reviewer is female... In any case, get some class and wise up to the law yourself. What you have said is defamatory and could easily provoke a lawsuit...perhaps you didn't know that a female can sue for remarks like the ones you wrote!
