Headache...

Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2006
Lived there for over 2 years before I bought a house. Lived in a 3 bedroom flat where I took care of my parents who were in their 80's. Apartment was in a good location, as it was very quite but there were not enough parking spaces and even though I told the office staff I had a handicap decal, they never would come and put a reserved space near the apartment. Sometimes we had to park at the other end of the parking lot and this made it difficult for my father. When we moved in, the carpet was so-so but below par. After the first year, the padding came loose at the seam between the dining room and living room. This was dangereous for my parents and the office staff said numerous time they would send the carpet people in but that never happened. We had ant problems several times and it was not from a dirty apartment. My mother keeps a very clean house. Before the lease was to run out and we were to re-sign for the 3rd year, I asked about the carpet that was now in very bad condition and requested that it be replaced. The only rude answer I got was "you can move to another apartment but your rent will go up". I signed the lease but shortly after that, I found a house to purchase. I followed the guildline in the lease of a 30 day notice and they also informed me of having to pay 2 more month also. We moved out before the deadline and they even had the apartment already rented. I have yet to recieve my deposit or pet deposit that was suppose to be sent to me in July and everytime I go by I get an excuse about how they are trying to get in touch with the main office in Florida. They say they do not have a phone number for them and they only communicate through email. Is this really a way to run a business. I would recomend them but their office staff hasn't got a clue of how to deal with the public.
