The Paddock Club looks like it would be a great place to live when you first drive through the grounds. Where it has grass, shubery, trees, etc. it's beautiful. However, there are more buildings, garages, concrete and asphalt than greenery... but that's the least of my issues.

The staff is unbelievably rude and obnoxious. Anytime I have an issue it seems like it can never be handled promptly and courteously. Before I walk out I always seem to have to tear into them something awful... it's like a ritual now. I have to mentally prepare myself to deal with them.

When we were moving in with moving guys ready to unload we were told the unit was not ready although they have given us the move-in date. To make matters worse we were coming from out-of-state and had no where else to go. When we told them we had paid the movers already the aparment rep said, "sorry". Of course, we tore into her something awful. Once we did move in we had a huge kool-aid stain in one of the bedroom floors and nasty food in the refrigerator. They said they would replace the carpet, but they never did.

As far as the apartment, I only have one word to describe them - HORRIBLE. They are made with the cheapest material possible. The floors are that cheap stuff that come on a roll that is held down with glue. The counters are made of particle board and the appliances have seen better days. There is a "pantry" that has wire mess shelves (one was missing) for food. There is not enough space to store food for a family of 5... and one is an infant. The kitchen is small and inefficiently set-up.

If you have a maintenance issue you might as well call God, because he'll answer your request way sooner that maintenance here will. The front door only has the knocker thing, so if you are in the master bedroom and someone knocks on the door you will not here it. My sons (ages 12 and 14 and are listed on the lease)were inadvertently locked out... although I was home. I did not hear them at the door. So one of them went down to the office to see if they could get a key or be let in. Those fools told them that an adult on the lease had to get the key. I understand their logic, but obvioulsy an adult was not around. A neighbor called me to let me know they were outside.

Like other reviewers we also had problems with ants. It's like they came from the woodwork or something. They were constantly in the bathrooom and in the beds. They will crawl all over you. They have clearly taken over the unit... it's like they are going half on the rent.

The windows also leak when it rains. I know I have rambled on, but if I could do it again I would have smacked the taste out of my mate at the sheer mention of Paddock Club Apartments.

We also had one of our vehicles broken into... they like to say it's a gated community, but take that with a grain of salt.

Hmmm........that's why we are moving!!!!!!!!!! Sounds like your apartment is exactly like ours! Good luck! Wait till you check out the parking! It's so wonderful to park a half mile away and have a car load of groceries to unload. The mold is interesting too..... I think we have all been sick from the disgusting carpet that we didn't stain because we are obsessively clean, but oh well.....it's worth over $1,000 in moving expenses and a raise in rent to get out of here. They actually wanted to raise our rent by the way!!!! Watch out!

Agree with everything here. The place I had in the ghetto was better. This is what sucks about Huntsville. They pretty much force you to buy a house. Not everyone wants or can be a homeowner (military folks.) Every city I've ever lived in has small duplexes with 2 or 4 apartments per unit.. not Huntsville. Everywhere you go you find these huge complexes and each unit has 16 or more apartments packed together! No matter how much you pay, every complex is like this in Huntsville. When I lived in Chicago I had a 3br 2bath apartment which I shared ONE wall with the only neighbor. The unit also had a garage as part of the deal (not something you have to pay extra for.) I paid a little bit more than the Paddock Club, but got a hell of a lot more and not a dump! Huntsville may be a booming city.. but it's not for me.. goodbye. As for the Paddock Club.. what a joke, I'd be better off living in a trailer park in Oklahoma.

well you can't have things fixed if you dont report them, and you all make yourselves look big and bad on this website but im sure you'll never go in and confront the leasing or maintenance team..now will you.

Why don't you all actually go to the office yourself and not waste your time on here. Nothing will get solved if you don't do something about it. Stop complaining about your carpets or your broken kitchen problems because you must not report it. The Maintence Team works there butt off. Whenever I get home from work, I STILL see them doing work, with a bunch of tools on the back of the cart. Maybe, just maybe, you should try doing their job. Bet you won't complain about things not getting done THAT PARTICULAR DAY.
