I thought the village would be a good place to start out from as a new grad from AU. Man was I wrong! The Staff rushed me through the Lease document and now I see why. They are very unwilling to help listen or assist in any way. My personal situation was that I lost my check book while on vacation and was about 3 hours late on my rent. I have been renting for 4 years at various apartments with not a single late payment but the circumstances here were completely unavoidable. The staff simply shrugged their shoulders and said sorry "Pay the Fine" they are very unwilling to listen I have never been treated with such content in my life. As an extra added punishment the apartment also has cleverly reserve the right the revoke any concessions that are given at the time of the lease signing. In my case an $80 concession was given. This means that because of a 3 hour late payment I am being forced to pay the $50 late charge plus $80 extra a month for the remainder of my lease witch regretfully is another 10 months that comes out to an $850 late charge for a 3 hour late payment. Its robbery. WHAT EVER YOU DO, DO NOT RENT HERE!! Colonial Village is only interested in how much they can squeeze out of you pocket not pleasing their customers. My cosin rented here befor I did and he encountered a similer situation. I should have take the hint.
