I just want to give a warning to anyone looking to move into the Reserve @ Research Park. You would think that because they changed the name they would live up to it. These apartments are in a good location and are a nice size, but they are not worth the price. My roommate and I moved in August 08' and was not pleased. There were so many bugs and roaches in there that I couldnt even stay in my apartment the first couple days until my raid overtook them. From then on I thought it to be a decent place to live, until recently. The week of the 25th of Jan 09, My handicap neighbor who was I'd say in his late 40s randomly died. After talking with the police officer he said he thinks it may have been foul play, but I haven't heard anything since as to the cause of death. Not to mention the Homicide on Tuesday the 10th. Considering that my roommate and I are bother female college students in our early 20s we dont feel safe coming home late at night from work. If at all possible, I will be in the office today to make known my concerns and how unhappy I am with this property. I would not advise anyone to move here, it is not worth it. And I will be moving as soon as possible.

Let me know what the office says. I would LOVE to get out of my lease. I thought this place was safe, as I've never heard anything bad about it until I moved in and people asked where I stayed. I have recently heard it referred to as "Crime Village" ... a take-off from the former name of "Rime Village" I am VERY dissatisfied and I don't feel safe, AT ALL. I haven't felt safe since Oct of 2008.

I have lived here for a few years. It used to be nice but has gone downhill since Colonial sold the property about 2 years ago. I think management posts self-reviews on this property to skew the recommendations. There are some burned out apartments that you can see on Rime Village across the street from where the murder took place. Those apartments have been like that for several months. Someone should post a picture. This place may be a lawsuit waiting to happen because those burned out apartments have not been torn down or had a fence put around them. Somebody will eventually get hurt if they loiter in there. Hopefully it won't be someone's children. Safety in a major issue here. Don't be fooled by the reviews that recommend this place.

I moved in November '08, and have experienced none of the above mentioned issues. Feel free to read my initial post. Granted when I moved here there was a couple of minor issues that was resolved immediately. As of recent, the water is out about 2-3 times a month, but as for bugs and roaches? You are going to have a trace of them no matter where you move. It depends on your neighbors. As for here? I have yet to see any bugs or roaches, the noise level is less here than at my former apt Royal Pines, and over all the office staff have addressed my concerns immediately. As far as the Murder of recent, just on the news a couple of nights ago, a man riding his bike in a park was shot, for no reason. If you have issues with the office, by all means go and speak to them, why drag them through the mud, when there are plenty of other happy residents living here. Anyone knows that when you have a great experience even at PF Chang's or Olive Garden, you will tell maybe 10 of your friends, but you could go there every weekend for a month, and one time get a bad server, and you are going to tell everyone you see about that one bad server, or the one bad experience you had. I guess moral of the story, those of us that are happy usually don't take the time out to post a review, we are too busy enjoying ourselves. Those of us that are not happy post reviews and run down the place. So long story short, if you are having issues here, why not give the office a chance to resolve the issue before posting such negative reviews....Another Happy Resident.

If you knew the law Durgster you would know that a property is supposed to live up to their end of the deal. Safety should be provided and If it is not, which I have proof of, it can be considered as breach of contract. Please do your research before you start mentioning things you dont know. As I previously stated, I went to the office on Friday the 13th of February and left a letter to the office stating my concerns of the recent events. In no way was I bashing the complex just stating the obvious and letting them know that they need to improve the quality of living.

Safety is not provided per your lease agreement. Maybe you should re-read it!
