Don't move in - dirty, damaged, not safe, all around bad

So I live at The Reserve and it's not the first apartment complex I have lived in. I have lived in 4 different cities, with different complexes, and never have I had this much trouble. There was a black widow spider, on my pillow, the first week I moved in. So yes, of course I requested pest control, and yes, they sprayed. But there's something called preventive maintenance, especially before I move in. When I moved in, I was told all of the pools will be open ... they weren't. And I always got the run around when asking. Now I come on here and somebody (aka office person at The Reserve) says that pools are down because of economic issues. Not our fault you can't get tenants but that was an amenity promised to us in the lease, when we signed it. Now, I'm sure you've read the reviews mentioning the burning building ... well you see, I read that the tenant of the apartment responsible, did not have renter's insurance, hence the building has not been repaired. Just some tarp and ply wood. Here's my question: does the complex not have insurance' I know with my insurance, they pay for the repairs (as in car or health, dental, etc) and then the insurance companies duke it out. Instead, the complex is causing more problems with bugs, safety issues because no they haven't put yellow tape or a fence or anything around this unsafe building, and I can't imagine somebody moving in after seeing how the complex takes care of their problems. I'm sure you've also read about the abductions, rapes, burglaries, car break ins, etc and all can be backed up with a little bit of research. Want to hear what I've also read, again from another "staff" ... safety is not their responsibility; it's not in the lease. Cool, fine, whatever. But how about not allowing possible residents move in unless they actually meet the standards; I can tell you that's not happening. I have meet three separate residents lately, around me, whom don't have a job ... they're home all day, and their cars don't run. Also, the lighting is inadequate. If the lighting was kept up with, it might be deterrant to hold ups in the parking areas and break ins. It's true that the murder in Feb wasn't a burglary as the police have confirmed that there is no sign of forced entry ... but the homicide does involve drugs ... so you make your judgement upon that. I CAN NOT wait to get out ... but I refuse to pay them more to break the lease. They're so broke, they're offering a $400 referral to the residents. Knowing this place, you have to re-sign your lease and you get $50 off the next 8 months rent.
Good news: Did I tell you the company was bought out in January'' Do you want to know when the residents found out' Feb 27. Good luck people but I would suggest firing anybody and everybody involved with the former management company, and starting new. I can imagine you'd get a much better response from the residents and even, the outsourcing you do. If we as residents are so unhappy, I can't imagine the companies the complex works with are happy.
Oh and last thing. Don't believe the good ratings on here. That's either ----- (I saw you on the Facebook sight arguing ... you lost because all you could say was "move") or -------. Funny part is: ----- doesn't even work at The Reserve anymore. She posted that on Facebook also. She works at Quail Pointe, so I would suggest not bothering to look there also.

------- doesn't even know how to get on here fyi.
As far as me- this is -----. No I no longer am at the Reserve. My choice. But I will respond to this. Did anyone force you to sign a lease? No. No one made you move in, no one will make you stay and that goes for anyone, any complex. If you are not happy at any complex you should move. It really is quite that simple. I wish I could take credit for some posts on here, but can't sorry.

Just curious, when did these "rapes" occur? I heard about the other crimes and a couple of my friends have been victims of these crimes but I had no idea any rapes had taken place! I live there but I'm moving in three weeks to a safer, more secured complex.
