I have been a resident at this complex since February 2007, and I have been quite pleased. I live in a three bedroom townhouse with one and a half bathroom. All of the rooms are quite spacious. The townhouse also has washer and dryer connections. I have seen only the occasional bug, but who hasn't. It absolutely has NOT been a problem, whatsoever. At first I was hesitant about the neighborhood (it's inside Governor's Dr., Triana Blvd, Bob Wallace Ave, and Jordan Lane....down the street from Westlawn Middle School), but I have found the neighborhood to be quite safe. I have never had to worry about someone breaking into my car, or into my home. I like how the management company keeps up the grounds. The grass is watered and cut on a regular basis. Any issue that I have regarding maintenance was attended to immediately, and on the fixed on the first attempt. In regards to the staff, I've never really had much contact with them other than rent payments each month. But I can say they have all sorts of community activities planned. This summer I know I've seen at least a couple of fliers on my door about a movie night of some sort. Though I've never been to any of these functions, I think they are a great idea. Especially for those families with children. This complex is close to everything: University Dr., Redstone Arsenal, I-565, Downtown Huntsville; shopping, restaurants, hotels, hospitals, etc. There is even a police precinct down the street on Triana Blvd. Finally I would like to say that I would recommend this complex to anyone who doesn't mind Paying $495 for a little piece of heaven.

P.S. Valley Bend Apartments has changed it's name to Oxford Townhomes

I think this review is meant to be for Valley Garden Apartments, not Valley Bend Apartments. Part of Valley Garden is now Oxford Townhomes. It is located at 3601 Bob Wallace Avenue, Huntsville, AL 35805. They have community learning center with a website at http://www.cnlchsv.org/welcome.htm http://www.cnlchsv.org/welcome.htm Valley bend apartments are located further south.
