Excellent place to live!

Where do I begin' I LOVED this apartment complex. I had a third floor unit that was painted a beautiful khaki color - a huge improvement over the plain white walls that I had grown used to in other apartments. The carpet was replaced prior to me moving in, which surprised me since the building was only three years old. Elaine and Brenda said they have their carpet schedule to be replace more frequently than most apartments. Not only had they replaced the carpet, but they put in MUCH better quality carpet than I had ever seen in an apartment before. After living there for a year, it showed no signs of wear which I thought was incredible. The paint and high quality carpet were indicitive of the quality of the appliances and construction of the apartments as well. The only maintenance issue I faced while living there was that the flourescent light in the kitchen went out. Normally, I'd replace light bulbs on my own, but I had incredible vaulted ceilings, so there was no way for me to reach the light. Maintence came later that day and replaced the light bulbs, free of charge. I was thrilled with my vaulted ceilings. Until moving in, I didn't realize how much bigger they can make your apartment feel. I was also very impressed with the layout of the 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment - there wasn't an inch of wasted space, making it feel much larger than similar size apartments I have visited. The kitchen was by far the best kitchen I have ever seen in an apartment and the closets in each bedroom were huge. The large bathroom with garden tub off the second bedroom was a great perk as well. I was very impressed with how quiet the apartment was - I don't think I heard a neighbor more than once the entire time I lived there. I also loved that cable was included in my rent. It was nice to have one less utility
to set up and disconnect when I moved. Yes, you didn't get every channel, but no hassle in setting up, no taking an afternoon off to wait on the cable guy and once again, no hassle when moving out more than made up for the channel selection - especially since now that I have 100 channels to choose from, I still can't find anything to watch.
I frequently travel on business, so the alarm system (included with your rent)
helped give me piece of mind while I was on the road. Although, there was never an indication that the alarm system
was needed, as the apartment was very well lit, very safe and very quiet. And, this was the first place I lived that while I was gone I didn't have friends stop by to check on it as the staff was more than willing to check on it if I asked.
In fact, the staff was the best I have encounterd over my past 5 years of apartment living. They made you feel
like family, rather than just a rent check at the beginning of every month. When I arrived in Huntsville in the summer of 2005, I didn't know anyone in the area and had less than a week to find a place and move in before I was sent on a three week business trip. The Vintage was the first and only apartment I looked at as from the minute I stepped into their office, they did everything to make me feel at home, an
attitude that the office staff, maintenance staff and ground crew kept up until the day I moved out. Everytime I came into the office to pick up a package or pay my rent, Elaine, Brenda and everyone else in the office knew my name, a nice personal touch I've never found at a larger complex. That, along with the frequent community get
together made the complex feel like a close-knit community.
My only complaint about the apartment... that I couldn't take it with me when my company transferred me out of Huntsville. If for some reason I ever end up moving back, The Vintage will be the first place I call. Not only did I love my apartment, but the staff was by far the best I have encountered while looking and living in
apartments. If you are looking for a low stress apartment living experience, The Vintage at Madison Crossing is the
place for you.
