There are some great things going on here... There are some not so great things as well.

First the Good. The unit is nice. All the appliances work as they should, and if they don't, they get fixed. Simple as that. The bedrooms are nice and big too. As a whole, the unit is very well put together and comfortable. Service is pretty good as well.

Now for the bad... Crime. There has been some delinquent activity in units near ours, but not our actual building. This doesn't leave me feeling safe. Jacksonville Place claims they do background checks on all of their residents... I don't honestly think they do. I think they pick and choose who they want to. We'd be a lot safer if EVERYONE got a background check before being allowed to live there. I've also got to say that rent is a little steep. $430 for one bedroom' $860 for both' There's an apartment complex a little ways down the road that has both beds for $500. I know where I'm going next. Perhaps the Groove that has been built next door will attract some of the delinquent activity that we're getting right now.

Also, and this is important... If they try to hit you with ANY sort of fees that you don't think you should have to pay, dispute it immediately. Paying Power bills and late fees if you don't turn your rent in on time is one thing you have to do, but if they start trying to charge you for late rent that you KNOW you payed on time, dispute it immediately. DO NOT PAY THOSE CHARGES!!!

Overall, the place is pretty good, but I can't say I'd recommend someone to live there. That's just my opinion.

Try Boardwalk Luxury Apartments at 256-453-2037. Very nice, clean and safe. The owner lives on the property.

OMG there's another post from the owner of Boardwalk. Jeeze man. Get a life. Nobody can afford your apts.
