The people that are saying it is a good place to live probably just moved in or currently/previously works/worked at the office as a community advisor, who gets free rent. I thought it was a good place to live when I first moved in four years ago, but it definitely isn't. After my first year, I realized that management is very poor as well as maintenance. Jacksonville Place has the worst management I have ever seen. They constantly try to find ways to get more money out of you. When you speak to them about certain issues with your apartment they disregard you. They never try to resolve the problem and show no courtesy. When maintenance comes out to fix things, they're never really fixed. You have to call back and have them to come out again to fix the problem that's supposed to already be fixed. For a while, there were constant gun shots at night. I felt like I resided in the hood or some projects. That has gotten a little better. The assistant manager needs to be replaced because she lacks management skills and sense. The old property manager was the same, but she's been replaced which is good. She needed to be too, big time. The old property manager and current assistant manager are the worst managers I've ever encountered in any industry. Lastly, you have to practically die just to get out of your lease. Don't move to Jacksonville Place. DON'T DO IT!!!!! If you have a choice, DON'T DO IT!!!!!

Take a look at Boardwalk Luxury Apartments 256-453-2037. It's a quiet, clean, safe place to live, and they're upscale. Owner lives on the property.
