This place is terrible! When i moved in, it was nasty! my roommate and i had to clean the whole apartment ourselves! and now that we're moving out, the stupid apartment people are saying they charge outrageous amounts of money if you don't clean before you move out! they get all this money from you, but then they don't use it to fix what is broken or dirty! also, it's dangerous. my front door has knife "wounds" in it!!! i wouldn't go anywhere outside without my pepper spray! i tell every singple person i meet in jacksonville to not even consider this place. anyway, DON'T LIVE HERE!

Jacksonville Place is NOT dangerous. They have people who walk the property every night. They haven't had a problem in almost 8 months and the people who have caused the problems get trespassed from the property. Trust me, I know, my ex-boyfriend is trespassed for fighting with me and I didn't feel safe so they took care of it with the police.
Most reviews you see on here that are negative are from people who work for The Grove, which is being built right beside Jacksonville Place. Which, by the way, they told me they would be gated and I called the city and they are not going to be, yet they still advertise it. I almost moved over there for that, but when I found out it wasn't true I decided to stay where I've been the past 3 years.
I love Jacksonville Place, the only complaint I have is on the assistant manager, and I hear they are going to take care of that, but I doubt it. The old manager has been replaced which is great and the new manager is really nice from the few times I've talked to her. If you have a problem she gets to it ASAP, where the old manger would blow it off (the assistant manager does the same); I'm guessing the new manager hasn't really figured out how much business the assistant could make them lose. The leasing agent is real friendly too, and usually if you need help with something she drops what she's doing to help you. Unfortunately, she has the same name as the assistant manager and I'm sure she gets a lot of crap from parents and residents because they think they are talking to the assistant.
Before you read the reviews and change your mind about Jacksonville Place give them a call to see what they have to say. I'm sure you'll love it as much as me and my roommates do! We've been here 3 years and staying one more while we're waiting to graduate.

Ok seriously I think the main post here was written by Jacksonville Place management. That place is such a ghetto. I lived there for one year and you could not PAY me to live there again. It is not safe, and it is dirty. Save yourself the hassle, don't go there!! Hopefully they will get shut down soon. But I have a feeling the Groove will end up just like Jacksonville Place. It may be better at first, but not in the long run. It will turn into a ghetto just like Jville Place is.
Also, when I lived there, the girl in the apartment next to me had a bullet shot through her ceiling. Good thing Jville Place does background checks, right? NOT!!!
