I have lived at jacksonville place for almost 5 years now. it has constantly turned into a ghetto. when i first moved in here it was a privilege to say i live at jacksonville place, not any more and that's why i'm leaving. The management staff doesn't help you in any way, the maintenance people are lazy and do not want to fix what is broke, and to top it off, i moved into my apartment, there were people already living there, and it was completely filthy. i have cleaned the apartment up many times since then and spent nine hours the day before inspections to clean it. I left my apartment cleaner than when i found it and they are trying to make me pick up a cleaning bill. Wrong answer. It was rated in 2006 as the highest area in all of calhoun county alabama in police activity (anniston and oxford were included in that report). i have witnessed prostitution in the parking lot, drug deals on the side walk, theft, and breaking in and entering. if you can help it, please, do not stay at this place, the police are tired of coming to jacksonville place, they will ignore your calls, the "security" staff at jacksonville place is a mythical creature (you never see them patroling the parking lot). Also they have raised rent from $280 a month when i first moved in to $345 a month and i think they are going up to $380 for next year, and they aren't providing any more services.

Summary: I wouldn't want my mother or sister or even my worst enemy living here.
