Good for what you pay for

Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2008
Me and my wife stayed here from Dec 2007 - Nov 2008.
Price:
The market rent for the two bedroom two bath with sunroom we stayed in was 680 but we had a 5% rebate for a preferred employer. Together with the 25 water and sewer fee, we paid 671 a month, thats a pretty good deal.
External Appearance:
The apartments were being refurbished when we moved in - that took about 3 months but they were freshly painted on the outside, they added awnings and decorative shutters on the outside.
Internal Appearance:
The apartments are old (abt 20 yrs) and it shows. The floor plan is an old one, the appliances are old (though the built in microwave is v good quality). Several places the rust was painted over and the carpet was not new when we moved in. On the flip side, we got our entire 500 deposit back even though some stains were showing on the carpet. Having stayed in some other apartments where you are guaranteed to lose at least some money, this was nice.
Floor Plan:
The living room (with sunroom plan) is huge, more than adequate for an apartment. The lack of external storage (patio storage) is a minus though, one of our bedroom closets had to be used for storage making it rather difficult.
Maintenance:
Was good, problems were fixed in a couple of days and fixed right.
Overall:
The Grand Reserve next door offers a much bigger space 1450 sq ft for about 820, so its a better deal, but then over a year you can save almost 1500 staying here (and use that money for something else!) You could pay more and get a better apartment, but this place is good for what you pay for it.
