Great Place to Live, Bad Place to Move From

Wonderful apartment complex. I've only lived in two complexes, both owned by Colonial, and I have to say that it's a very beautiful complex and a great place to live. The apartment units are well-maintained, and they are in superb shape when you move in.
I think, however, they're quite excessive on fees and various charges when you move out. I did have a cat who spot-peed in one or two particular spots. I had cleaned it up as much as possible before moving out. Other than that, the rest of the apartment was immaculate--the carpet was, overall, in great shape, the place was disinfected and quite clean. They tried to charge over $1K for carpet replacement. I am absolutely certain that they could have replaced the patches without replacing the entire carpet in the apartment, and had carpeting in as great a shape as when I moved in.
Perhaps it's true of any apartment but they'll be willing to spend vehemently, particularly if it's your money they're spending.
