Flagstone was a nice place to live. The old management was always kind and caring. If we had a problem, it was fixed very quickly. But those were the good old days. Unfortunately, a company by the name of Stephen D. Bell bought the complex and it's been nothing but problems and rude attitudes ever since. The new management is very sneaky and untruthful. We rented the clubhouse for a 9 year old child's birthday party. The child handed out invitations at school all week until Friday. At 7 p.m. on Friday night we heard through the grapevine that they were not going to let us have her party, after contracts had been signed, lots of money had been spent and all. Keep in mind there is no way for us to inform her friends at school since it is 7 p.m. on Friday night and the party's on Sunday. They had apparently asked a lady that works in the office to call and inform us and she said it wasn't her place, that manager should make the call. The manager replied, "I'm not calling, I guess they'll figure it out when they get here and can't get in." All the while, we can't believe how immature and un-professional this is!
Needless to say, we spoke with an attorney who made some calls on our behalf and asked the management to rectify the situation. We weren't looking for monetary compensation, just a genuine "we're sorry for the mix-up, is there anything we can do'." Didn't get that either.
Here we are at the end of our lease, looking for another place to live. We get a call from a potential lesser saying that Flagstone reported that they have a pending lawsuit against us, which is completely untrue and immature. Which by the way, kept that lesser from leasing to us.
Also, a man moved into the complex around 6 months ago. They didn't run a criminal background check because the ladies in the office thought he was, and I quote, "HOT." Turns out he is a convicted sex offender andhad to inform all the residents of Flagstone and the surrounding complexes. Keep in mind we have a 10 year old little girl! Also, we have two drug dealers living on either side of us, one of which was banned from the property for selling drugs here, but since Stephen D. Bell now owns the complex, he can return to live with his parents. The other was caught off property by the policeman who lives in the complex.
Needless to say, we are moving and thought that we should let potential lessers know of these problems.
