Be Careful!!!!!

Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2002
I am a college student attending UAH. During June they were advertising a special where they would take 1/2 off the first & second month. When I asked them (upon numerous occasions) if I could see an apartment they declined my request and promised me that all of the apartments were identical to their model apartment. On the last day of the offer, they finally told me the apartment was ready for move-in. I walked into the office and was immediately asked to sign a lease. Frustrated, I asked if I could please see the apartment first. Francis consented and when I saw the apartment, I was apalled. It looked as though no repair or upkeep had been made. When I voiced my disdain, Francis refused to refund my $200 deposit! She even proceeded to tell me that my accusations were false and that I had been prepared for the condition of the apartment. To this day, they still won't refund the deposit. When I asked for their corperate headquarters, they gave me a fax number and have still not given me the correct number. Be careful - they will try to fanagle you out as much money as possible - read the fine lines before signing ANYTHING there.
