We prepaid all 6 months of our lease at the time of signing. We explained that we were looking for a job and asked what the terms were in reference to getting out of the lease early if that were to occur. They offered us a "clause" that states we could leave after 90 days, with a 30 day notice.So we signed it. We got a job out of state after 120 days, turned in a notice, AND a note from the new employer. Now they're refusing to refund our rent for the last two months, claiming that it's a "new" job, not the one we had when we moved in. In addition, we've had reoccuring ant problems, you hear everything in the apartments around you AND outside, you're next to an airport, a train track, and a major highway, and you hear it ALL.
We had a leaky window that allowed a substantial amount of water in whenever it rained. It was ruining the windowsill and drenching the carpet. The first time we reported it (via telephone) they said they'd send someone out and they didn't. So we reported it in person and were met with a very abrasive response informing us that they never received the first notification and they'd send someone out after we cleaned our children's sidewalk chalk off the sidewalk because it was "tacky". Very unprofessional. We have other complaints about this complex, but I realize that with all the negative reviews, they're still in business so obviously people just don't care!
