Nicest place in Madison.

I lived here for a year. The grounds and apartments themselves are very nice...there is nothing I can complain about there. The parking situation really depends on where you live in the unit. The worst I ever had it was parking 10 feet from where I normally park...facing the other way.
The staff is pretty easy to deal with. They get to know you pretty quickly, and they always worked with me to get things done.
Maintenance I only had to deal with once...a broken window when I moved in. They had it fixed the same day. (The only negative was that they left my blinds open all day so people could look in and see the valuable things in my bedroom.)
The wooden flooring in the entry way is fantastic. Ironically, however, it's also the only source of noise for me. The woman who lived upstairs from me left at 6:00am every morning with her high heels...and you can bet it woke me up more often than not. However, I don't consider that a huge deal.
The train also depends on where you live. I was about halfway between it and the main street, and I got used to it after just a few nights. Honestly, if you have the TV on or the A/C going, you really won't notice it. It never woke me up at night. It just isn't that loud.
The fitness center is well kept and well equipped. The grounds are well lit, and I never felt unsafe. (When I lived there, at least one police officer lived on the property and had his patrol car parked outside each night.)
The place can be a little tricky to find (or to give directions for your friends), but I consider that a bonus. People don't drive by just for the heck of it, so you're left alone in that respect.
There's a gas station on the corner, and food/shopping within just a minute or two. Interstate 565 is also just a few blocks south (ditto for Highway 20/Madison Blvd).
All in all, there is a huge bang for your buck at this place. I mean...come on. A one bedroom with a half bath that's almost 1,100 square feet at that price WITH wood flooring in the entry' You really can't beat it. I would recommend this place easily. It's one of the nicest places in Madison!
