The Facts of Mountain View Apartments

My experience with Mountain View Apartments has been less than satisfactory.
I moved in on a Saturday, went to take a shower for church Sunday morning, and was greeted by the fact that I had no shower head-- I had to furnish my own shower head. I noted this on the detailed inventory/damage checklist, but upon move-out, was told that I didn't give them a chance to replace the showerhead (when in reality, it was their responsibility to replace it before I moved in).
Through the duration of my stay, a boat and trailer would be parked horizontally across 4-5 parking spaces, leaving inadequate parking.
I was placed in an apartment which obviously housed a smoker prior to my move-in. There were cigarette burns on the sink and the bathtub was stained. The smoke smell in the apartment was bearable and able to be covered, but the stinch that lingered couped up in the closets reaked.
Also, upon moving into the apartment, there were work buckets, tennis shoes, and dropcloths left on my balcony (which also should have been disposed prior to my move-in). I noted this on the ckecklist, made several maintenance requests to have it removed, but neither maintenance nor management responded.
At my particular building, dogs defecated on the grounds and neither pet owners nor management sought to keep cleaner grounds. There was also a large dog that stayed tied up to a tree often at the building across from my old building.
During my stay, an apartment building burned down and made me question the atmosphere in which I was living.
In addition to all of the customer service issues named above, I even encountered poor management upon moving out. When I contacted two management representatives about receiving my final paperwork and my security deposit refund, I was treated highly unprofessionally. The management spoke condescendingly and completely disregarded the cleaning that was done before move-out (which was done by my mother, who was recovering from surgery, and spent the move-out day cleaning the apartment). When asked for a higher managment company to speak to, she tried to intimidate and ridicule me by saying, "So you want to call my boss and complain about you not cleaning your apartment'" They also accused me of leaving furniture at the dumpster and charged me, when, in fact, every piece of my furniture went into the moving truck.
After six months in this apartment, I have found a better place to live. I do not recommend Mountain View Apartments because of its management (or lack thereof). I'm sure someone in a management position will respond to this rating post, and I can say in good faith that they cannot contradict the facts of my experience without being dishonest businessmen and women.

I completely agree with the posting above. The management staff has yet to be kind to me. Janet in the office has been the ring leader in rudeness since my arrival at Mt View. I'll never come to understand how someone without any good customer service skills becomes a manager. The undertone in her voice says to the consumer that she must not enjoy her job. However, and I hope she's reading this, it's your job and you picked it. If you're not going to be nice and accomadating to the patrons who put food on your table..then QUIT.
