We moved into Weston Ranch because we wanted an apartment that felt more like a home than a box. My husband really wanted amenities. I wanted a newer, clean apartment that I would not feel cramped in. We got all those things when we moved here. We rent a two bedroom, two bath and it is plenty for two people. You don't hear your neighbors through the walls but you hear EVERYTHING through the front door. We are awakened every day at 6:30 am by our neighbor leaving, who we have nicknamed ClippetyClop for her noisy shoes! I don't even need an alarm clock anymore. And the doors shut by themselves, so everyone just lets 'em slam, day or night. The pool and hot tub area is very nice and relaxing, except when there are a lot of people. Most of the time the crowd is tolerable, but sometimes it's just too much. This probably happens anywhere. But the staff hires these pool monitors who will critique every little thing you do and be rude to your company if you have friends over to swim. You feel a little too supervised for a grownup. There are not really 25 kids in the pool like one other review said. Maybe that person was there on a birthday party day or something. But there are definitely kids around often. Kids and pools just go together; sorry! Speaking of which, you will not be moving into Madison city school district, if that's what you're looking for! They don't come out and tell you, but your kids will have to go to Butler High School and I forget what elementary & middle, but I remember its one I wouldn't send my kids to if I had any. So keep that in mind. Yeah you're 2 seconds from Bob Jones and all that, but you're not zoned for it. Also as other reviews said, the gates never work. I personally like this, because its a pain to stop and swipe your card and wait for the sloooow gate to open. Plus you're in a safe community, so who needs a stupid gate anyway' That is so snooty. If somebody really wants to rob you they'll find a way. The traffic is definitely a pain but you learn to avoid driving home during rush hours. Maintenance will take care of you quickly and accurately. The best part is they will give you coupons to use toward rent during your lease and they don't require a big deposit. We only paid 87.50 to get moved in. Pet fee is 200. Overall this is a good place, but you pay for it! Rent is some of the most expensive in town. I can't quite say it's worth it, but overall this place is pretty comfortable.
