I had purchased a new home, so I'm not on my lease's time table, if you know what I mean. I have to move when the paperwork is done. You don't pick these things, they pick you. Well, anyway, they had this deal going, $100 a month off, every month for a 12 month lease. ok, we did it. In month 8, we purchased a home. It is customary and ordinary for apartment complexes to forgive a lease-break in the event of:
1. A job transfer.
2. A home purchase.
Well, these blippidy blips made me pay back the incentive, which they give out in "Weston Ranch Bucks", or some crap like that. We had used several of them, as you could apply them as you see fit. Now not only did we pay that, but the jerks made us pay them back one months rent additional. In total, it was about $1700. I've been screwed by one other complex before, and I've lived in many. From Huntsville, to Birmingham, Atlanta, and Chicago. Probably 10 places. I've never had any of them screw me like this in a necessary lease break. Anyhow, I know why they wanted this money. It was near Christmas, and they wanted to do a little shopping. My Aunt was an apartment manager for years, and they cook-the-books. They don't have to tell the owners about this. They quietly pocket the money and go on a shopping spree. Can I prove it' No. Do I think they were dishonest and generally ----' Yes I do. I cannot recommend them. If you dog takes a ---- in the middle of the night, and you can't get to it because they street light is out and you can't see it. (Dog ---- is brown, afterall), they incessantly put notes on your door threatening you. I'm glad I'm out of the ---- hole. Furthermore, they were letting some pretty shady people move in there. I bet 100 to 1 it is crack central in another two years. Glad to be gone. Oh, and they didn't give my deposit back either. Criminal in my opinion. Let me warn you about something else too: The traffic on HWY 72 is brutal, I'm talking worse than Atlanta at rush hour. If you like sitting in traffic and warping your brake rotors, help yourself. Besides noisy neighbors across from me, I cannot complain about the up-keep of the place. It is well maintained. Nonetheless, I give it two thumbs down. Oh yeah..one more thing. Forget the pool. It's full of rowdy kids all day and night. I hear that they have these nit-picking monitors too. I also had a sewage smell constantly coming from my sink and shower in the spare bath. Also, the water the lawn so much, it's like a swamp. They need to tell those illegal aliens they have working for them to cut back on the water.

Traffic on 72 really does suck. To make a left on 72 you have two choices: 1)Lawson's Ridge--and risk your life dodging cars, or 2)Hughes--and sit at a red light for 20 minutes. It's great! Oh, and sadly, it's already crack central. Some SCARY people living here now that weren't here when I first moved in.
