I have been a tenant at Eastdale for several years. I have seen the ups and downs over time. I have had bad experience with past management. The current manager that started in January 2008 seems to be trying to get this property back to what it used to be, a very quiet and decent place to live. I feel sorry for her and the assistant because I see the type of ---- that lives around me and can only imagine what they must have to deal with on a daily basis. I feel, as a tenant, if you are unhappy here, stop wasting time on writing letters trying to bash the office staffs attempts to make this a better place, and get the hell out. No one is making you stay here, and quite honestly, our complex would be better off without you. You can't blame every little thing on management. What about the city in general, the crime rate is worse now than it's ever been, the police department has gone to ----, and no one gives a damn. The people in the office are trying. Since the new manager has come in, in the last year I have notice more lights on the property and attempts to repair existing ones, might help if the tenants kept their animals(children) on a leash. The buildings that were burned because of some stupid ass tenants, are currently being repaired, the pools were open this past summer after being closed for about 2 summers in a row and they look like they'll be open again this year. These may not be the most lavish apartments in Montgomery, but they are no way the worst. This is the longest that I have resided in an apartment complex. I have had to call the law a few times for noise, but never anything major. I am sure that there are tenants that do drugs, but that happens all over the U.S., not any major news flash. If we, as the tenants, would stand up and take responsibility for the stupid ---- that we do, instead of acting ignorant, we might find our housing situation a lot more comfortable. Talk to the manager, and the assistant, I have and they have tried to resolve every issue that I have told them about in a timely manner. They are only office staff, not miracle workers, but they do try to help. What would you do if this wasn't just an apartment but a home that you were buying, who would you blame for all the screw ups you have' Everyone makes choices, you aren't here just because, you chose this and you should stand up and face the music. If you allow thugs, drugs, and any other problem to violate your home and you do nothing to correct the situation, where in the hell do you get the right to blame someone else for your stupidity. GROW UP!
