I haven't experienced any serious problems while staying at Olympiad. I'll lay out the pros and cons of living here like I do all of my other reviews since it's only fair.

My wife and I have been living here since November of 2004 and these are the pros and cons of living at Olympiad apartments (in my experience):



The Pros:

1) The maintenance staff is excellent. Whenever I call maintenance with a problem, not only are they at my apartment within 5 - 10 minutes, but they take care of the problem so that it never bothers me or my wife again. And they're always pleasant and polite when they drop by. They do amazing work.

2) The parking is pretty good. Nothing out of this world, but when compared to other Montgomery complexes, Olympiad is right at the top of the list. I always have a spot close to my building when I come home.

3) The office staff is very pleasant. I suck when it comes to remembering names, but there are two ladies in there that have, up until this point, addressed every need that I've ever brought to their attention.

4) They make it pretty easy for military members to move in. They don't waive all deposits like most places, but they do offer a discounted rental rate for military members. Also, move in was a breeze. When we arrived here with nowhere to go, Olympiad went out of their way to welcome us with open arms when other places wouldn't.

5) The location is pretty convenient. Sylvest drives lets out into Atlanta hwy and has a traffic light so you can enter that busy road with no problem. Also, the mall and other shopping centers/plazas aren't any more than 10 minutes away.



The Cons (I can only think of a few):

1) Our apartment has a bit of a bug problem. But, in all fairness, I have to also say that when I called the rental office I had an exterminator sent to my apartment within two days and twice more within a month just to make sure the problem was solved......which it was(I'm not from here, but I was told by other residents that most places in Montgomery have the same problems with cockroaches depending on what time of year it is).

2) Bird baths. The hot water in the shower only stays hot for about 2 minutes. I'm not sure why it's like that, but it's a real pain in the butt.
