I only lived at Olympiad for about six months because I had a short lease (I was about four months away from graduating college). Overall, I enjoyed my stay there because I never had to worry about parking or safety. The areas in front of my complex were always well-lit. I NEVER heard anything that my neighbors were doing or saying in their homes simply because the complex is an older complex, and the walls are very sturdy. There are only a couple of concerns that I had about the complex. One was the speed with which maintenance responded to my requests. When I moved in, I reported that there were shelves hanging off of the walls, and maintenance did not get around to fixing them until about three months later. I was told that they were behind on maintenance repairs because a couple of guys had quit. The other issue was the age of the appliances. The appliances must have been there since the complex was built nearly 30 years ago because I was born in the early '80s but didn't recognize the make of the built-in microwave. Well, the age of the appliances caused my electric bill to be outrageous. I was only in the apartment for about ten hours a day (using little light and keeping my thermostat on 73), and my bill was near $100 every month!!! I would recommend this complex but would also warn people that their electric bills will more than cover the gap of living at a more expensive complex with up-to-date amenities.
