Great Place to Live

I just found this site so my review may be dated, but I enjoyed living at Saddleback Ridge enough to post it anyway. I really enjoyed the complex. There were never any noise or crime problems. I lived in an outside apartment with my bedroom exposed to Atlanta Highway. There was a fire escape/alternate entrance on that end but road noise was never a problem. I NEVER heard any through-wall noise. The other b/r did not have the alternate entry/fire escape, but the window for that b/r exited to the stairs. The apartment layout was very nice for roommates (I used the other b/r as an office) - each bedroom could be "locked off" with it's own bath. I always assumed it was designed that way because Auburn University-Montgomery is just up the road. I am a road cyclist and there were plenty of road miles available. I had very nice neighbors all around me the whole time. Nice little pool, workout room, clubhouse, mail station - I really enjoyed my time there. Montgomery has undergone lots of changes and much growth since my days there, but I'd be surprised if it changed dramatically.
