I moved to Vaughn Lakes as it was the only complex in a decent part of town that had a big enough unit available that I could afford. For the first few months it was perfect; quiet, maintenance was handled quickly and professionally, and the apartment itself is spacious and in good condition.

That changed quickly when some new neighbors (after I had already renewed my lease, of course) moved into some units near mine. Now they and their friends are loitering in the parking lot and breezeways leaving a mess at all hours of the night, fighting, and they think it's OK to start blasting rap music late at night and litter. When I first looked at an apartment here, the few tenants I saw seemed to be young professionals like myself who were just getting started out in life. Now it's filling up with "students" and/or thugs who do nothing but hang out all day and make life miserable for the honest working tenants here.

That being said, this is just one building out of thirty or so, the grounds are big, and some of my neighbors are quite nice. Your experience may be very different and even though this is the "nice" part of town other nearby complexes have been having the same problems lately. The apartment itself is close to perfect but these rotten apples are spoiling it for everybody and need to go.

I agree. We're having a lot of students move in to our building. They are loud and their friends take up ALL the parking spaces. I wish they would just put all the students in on building or on one side. Cause I'm sick of seeing and hearing them.
