Just moved out from Northbrook after living there for two years. In that time we experienced repeated water leaks that damaged our carpet, to no fault of our own. We called management who sent maintenance and they never fixed the problem, just painted over the wet spots on the ceiling and pulled up our carpet to dry it. Not trusting these people, we asked them to write us a letter stating this damage was their responsibility, not ours, so that we would not have to pay for it when we moved out. They told us we did not need a letter and that maintenance was documenting each visit they made to us. Upon moving out, we even took it upon ourselves to write them a reminder note, telling them once again, that the carpet was not our fault. But of course, a few weeks later, we received a letter in the mail stating we owed money on top of our deposit to replace the carpet!! We contacted Sealy management who said they would get back to us and never did. These people are con artists who will take your money, plain and simple.
