I don't know where to begin with this review. Simply put, Amber Woods Apartments are a complete nightmare!!!!!!! The main reason that they are in such deplorable condition is because of the management at Carriage Hill. The apartments are dreadfully ancient and the management of Carriage Hill hasn't done anything to bring life to these apartments. Since my husband and I moved in last September, we have never received good service from the management team at Carriage Hill. They are not professional or helpful at all. The first incident that we reported to them was in regards to shower heads in our bathrooms. They had a slimmy, greasy build up on them when we moved into the apartment so we called Carriage Hill and the response that we were given is "Well, you can replace the ones that are there, and then when you leave just place the old ones back on there". Why should we have had to fix their problem' The same thing happened with the toilet seats in the bathrooms. They are very old to the point that it doesn't seem that they have been replaced in years! They told us that we could replace them with new ones, save the old ones and then whenever we leave place the old seats back on the toilets. Why should anyone pay rent and fix up the apartment for the landlord at the same time' Another major problem that we had that they refused to repair is our air conditioning. It literally sounds like a helicopter when it starts and the entire time that it is running. Again, we called to Carriage Hill and they supposedly sent the maintenance people out to repair it but even until this day, it still sounds like a helicopter. One more problem that we have had is in the dreadfully outdated kitchen. The faucet has rusted so badly and it leaks water. Again, we called to Carriage Hill and once again they supposedly sent the maintenance person out to repair it but just like with the air, the problem still exists. These are just a few examples to show you what to expect if you are planning on living at Amber Woods Apartments or renting from Carriage Hill.
I would not recommend anyone to live in Amber Woods Apartments nor rent from Carriage Hill. We will be breaking our lease early to move to some other apartments in Phenix City. If we could have afforded it a long time ago, we would have done so sooner to escape this continuous nightmare. So, to anyone who is considering living at these apartments, PLEASE PLEASE reconsider your choice. You will regret it if you do decide to make this place your residence. vWhRVi5nYYIuEh4W7K3l
