I stopped by the office at Highland Lakes today and the girls in the office were talking about having a lot of bad responses on this site. I live behind Wal-Mart and they asked if I was having any problems. I am not. I hardly ever hear Wal-Mart. I am upstairs and I never hear my neighbors TV. I was kind of shocked when I read all of the bad comments becasue I have had such a great experience. I am moving at the end of this month but not because I did not like it. I am moving back into my house that I was renting out. The girls in the office have been extra nice and have gone out of their way to help me with my many, many packages. I have also had a good experience with maintenance too. I would say I have had a good experience here and would recommend Highland Lakes. Apartments are not sound proof. Yes I have heard the people above me before but it wasn't terrible. If you live in an apartment it is basically like sharing a big house with someone with your own entrance. I lived at several apartments in Tuscaloosa while going to school and I can tell you that this is far better as far as noise. I just thought I would add my thoughts.
