I have lived at Highland Lakes for a little over 3 yrs now and have been through many different management agencies. Since Foshee has taken over, they have consistantly raised the price of living here in our community. Recently, they are forcing all residents to pay for a personal garbage pick-up service at your front door, which was optional at first. This would not be bad if the main dumpster was not at the front of the complex and you can take your own garbage out. I however now have to pay 20 dollars extra a month because others are apparently too lazy to take out their own trash. I also agree with other post that say management has keys and feels like they can come in your apartment at any time. Since Foshee has taken over, they have attempted to make so called "improvements" to the community by adding a spa and massage table, but you still have to pay for a massage extra and now the supposedly free tanning bed and gym is not so free since they are starting to charge residence a residential living fee. They are also strict about people moving out. They have added clauses to residences leases without approval and I have had several people say that the initials on the lease clause is not their own. In my opinion this used to be the best place to live in Prattville; however, Foshee has recently allowed shady people to move in the complex and there is not enough parking either. Also, there is no insulation in the place, so you hear everything that your neighbors do..and I do mean everyhting. I would consider all other options before moving to Highland lakes because things are not always what they appear to be, and I personally will never rent from a greedy corporation like Foshee ever again!!

You get what you pay for...if your rent is too expensive, move somewhere cheaper and see what kind of "shady" people will already be living there when you move-in. Also, if the walls are too thin for your liking, maybe you should consider buying a nice, big lot in the trailer park - sounds like you would probably feel a lot more at home there. :)

Foshee management charge too much for rent. They do not care that the world is in bad shape. The rent keeps on going up.
