Been nice

I've lived in Aspen Village for 2 years now, and it's been great. Although it is a little out of the way (unless you love WalMart), it's a lot quieter than living right off campus. The staff at AV have always been really nice and quick to fix the few problems I had (my AC was repaired the day I called). I've felt very safe, being a 22-year-old white female, and have never been broken into, knock on wood. There are security guards that walk around or stay in parked cars at the entrance for all 24 hours. I'm moving to Texas in August so I will obviously not be renewing my lease, and I'm not sure that I would, based solely on the price increase this coming year. They are trying to get prices closer to market value, and although my place is very spacious, it would be a little pricy for maybe a student with little income or someone making close to minimum wage. I haven't encountered any problems with my utility prices or my water or power within my apartment. The biggest noise problem right now is the work being done on the exterior (siding) of the older parts, but it looks really good now. Other noise is just heavily-bassed rap music from tenants' cars. Overall, it has been a great experience and I would recommend this complex.
