The Canterbury Tale...

I'm very neutral to this place. Its affordability and relative close proximity to campus are a plus, but there are certain things about this place that detract from my overall experience here.
The apartments aren't very spacious for the amount you pay, and there are similarly priced apartments that are much bigger for a little more coin. The cinder-block walls are not attractive at all, that is, unless you find prison/dorm walls chic. One thing that is a huge plus about this place though, are the closets. The double closets in each room are huge, and the built in dressers save so much space ( in my case money too). The 1.5 baths are adequate, but if you want to take one of those long, intimate showers, the lack of sustained hot water will put a CHILL on your hot fires. and I'm not talking like 20-30 minute long showers, I mean any longer than say 4-5 minutes, and the hot water will just go frigid on you. I found out the not so hard way, if you catch my drift, but enough about my personal life..back to the review.
If you live here, hope you get neighbors with like mindsets. When moving in Azia informed us that the complex was like 90% students. Apparently I moved in next to most of the 10%. The guys at the end of the row are up playing beer pong till like 4 am every night, the guys at the other end are always shouting in a drunken haze, which I have no problem with. These are apartments on a college campus. What I do have a problem with are the "Old Fogies" who decided to set up shop. They complain about every bit of noise, even in the day time ( like 3pm), but their kid is crying every morning at close to 5am. Its so loud and close, I sometimes wonder if I'm that babies pappy.
The grounds here are very nice. They have a guy, who is quite friendly I might add, who seems like he lives in the parking lot. He's always out there cleaning, pruning the flowers, sweeping, or doing something to keep the place up. The pool is great too, and is always clean. The courtyard here is beautiful as well, and includes a few BBQ pits. I found the laundry facility awesome. A lot cheaper than going to the laundry mat and on par with the area dorm prices.
There does seem to be a problem here with bugs, as some other reviewers have mentioned. They do come out every month and spray, but I think these roaches have grown immune or something.
parking is pretty good, except during football season. I just wish they would put up a sign that says one way, because I am tired of people driving at me and expecting me to back up when the parking lot is clearly a one way.
It seems pretty secure. Haven't had my apartment or car broken, when I had my car busted up pretty badly living in campus housing.
This place offers all kinds of incentives to keep you here, and move in your buddies. If you like cash in your hand, this is a plus, and who doesn't like money'
Overall this place isn't that bad, and if it wasn't for my difficult neighbors and my need to own a pet and play loud music, I might be staying. I don't get all the Azia bashing on here though. She is very capable and competent at her job. When we moved in she got us new carpet before we even had to ask, and even stops by to talk out problems. Sometimes if you take the time to know her you can chill in her office, pop a jolly rancher and just talk out any issues you have. She even threw a pizza party for residents if you paid attention. Lack of communication is the issue, not Azia herself.
