Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2006
Not as good as others say. When I first moved in, Mullberry properties owned the property. About the time I moved out Arlington properties took over. My front door rotted in. Everytime it rained my kitchen flooded, not to mention the cold air coming in under the door and the bugs. It took me 6 weeks and 4 ------the-manager out sessions to finaly get it replaced. Their excuse' "we're about to change management, and we aren't going to spend the money for unnecessary repairs right now". Unnecessary repairs' The years I lived at Country Club, maintenance didn't bother to open the crappy 1970's era swimming pool until sometime in late may. The maintenance sucks bad! In a half-assed attempt to make the ancient kitchens look new they spray painted the counter tops (yes spray painted). When we first moved in half the paint was flaking, therefore it was repainted. When the bright individual repainted the counter he managed to cover my 2-week old dining room table with spray paint! On thanksgiving day my heat broke; it took the individual who calls himself an AC repairman 3 hours to figure out I had a bad thermostat (this would take a TRUE A/C tech 5 minutes). The management also does little to control noise problems. At 2:00 in the morning I would be awaken to the sound of my neighbor, Worm, screaming obscenities about nothing as usual. Utilities are 3x what I pay now. In the winter all the heat goes upstairs turing my bedroom into a living hell, while my living room below was cold enough to hang meat. The windows leak air like crazy. When a storm comes through, don't expect to get much sleep, the windows howl louder than a timber wolf. The only landscaping that exists at Country club apartments is below the sign at the front entrance, and some around the office other than that no shrubbery, other than what some residents have planted using their own $; only crappy trees such as gumball trees exist sparsley with some mixed pines. The laundry closet is on the second floor. Getting an extra large Whirlpool washer up the stairs is a -----, be sure to eat your wheaties that morning! On the bright side, they were pretty damn big for the money, as they are townhouses. The parking lot fills up during week nights, but is very well lit, and is well maintained. Mostly mature adults and families; very few parties and obnoxious frat boys.
