Things have changed - for the worse

I guess a lot has changed since the first post. But since it was from the property manager, he probably didn't have the same issues with the property managers that we have had. We have had problems since day one and management is very slow to respond. Our last maintenance call took over six weeks for them to resolve (after cutting us a check for our damages) and it took about 30 minutes for them to correct the problem. They are on the third property manager since we moved in about six months ago, so they would make promises and be gone before following through. The new property manager (whom I had never met) just delivered late rent notices to about half the tenants, and by the time I could print my cancelled rent check online there were about 5 other tenants disputing the late notices. I suspect about 90% of the people who got notices have paid on time. I would think that so many delinquent tenants would make you inspect the records more closely BEFORE harassing your tenants.

You said the first post was from the property manager - but you are incorrect. Since I left the first comment, I got an email stating someone else left a review so I came here to check it out. My name is Lauren; I currently live in Birmingham and I lived at Crowne Point while in college and had no issues. I made a point to write that comment because people always leave only negative comments (myself included - I wrote my positive comment here after writing a negative comment at my last apartment complex.) I'm sorry you had a bad experience here, but others that read this after you shouldn't make their opinon about these apartments based on your negative review. I don't know how management is now, but when I lived there the guy's name was Ritchie and my roomate and I had no problems.

Sorry, Lauren. I saw something that made me think that post had been left by the manager. I realize now that I was mistaken, but it doesn't change the fact that the management has been poor during our time here. (Incidentally, we never dealt with Ritchie.)

This place does suck and I would not suggest this place to anyone. I live here now, and I feel like I live in the ghetto. There is trash everywere and the "maintance man" that hasnt fixed anything I have requested in the past yr and half, lives in a trailer behind the dumpster. You can't ever get anything fixed here. The company that manages the complex doesnt own it, so there for they cant approve anything without the owners perrmission. And his cheap butt doesnt approve anything that cost money. If I could get out of my lease without paying hunderds of dollars I would. There are so many nicer places in Tuscaloosa for less than the projects called Crown Pointe.
