My husband and I lived at Palisades for 3 years. We have watched the property decline since moving in and for the price they want to charge for rent, it's very sad to see. They do not enforce rules that are designed to make apartment living bearable - they simply send out memos and post notes when rules are broken but no follow-up action is ever taken. We put up with all of that and just kept to ourselves enjoying the size of our apartment but becoming less and less satisfied with everything else. Then, my husband's family was involved in a terrible car wreck and we needed to move out of state to help run the family business because his dad was no longer able. We needed to get out of our lease 4 months early and it was pure hell trying to do so. No one would return our calls or letters and then they made us pay two months' rent and forfeit our deposit to leave... And we have given them over $25,000 in the time we've lived there and been ideal tenants! Some thanks we got in the end. Just be warned that you can't judge the living conditions by the ammenities offered. Sure the pool looks nice from a distance and you have a gym and tanning bed - but the rent is way too high considering most of these things are regularly broken or out of order. And if you should need them to work with you on something while you're living there chances are very good that they won't. Not sure if it's the apartment manager's fault or the company's but this place has really gone downhill fast.
