Don't get me wrong...this isn't a terrible place - I do like living here - but they really do screw you over on the price. You're basically paying for a place that looks "modern". Unfortunately the price is too much considering:
-The parking is awful - people get hit all of the time and I had to call and have people towed once because the entire entrance to my apartment parking lot was blocked off by SUVs parked on both curbs.
- The windows can't be opened...or if they are...the stripping pulls away leaving you freezing during the winter.
-Trash pick up...are you kidding me' Unless you live in an apartment near the ONE trash receptacle here, you're putting your disgusting trash in your car and driving it just to dispose of it.
-Water pressure is very weak - even with an attachment.
-"Free" Internet - they told us that the internet at University Village was only second in speed to the hospital...yeah...right. The internet is dial-up slow...you cannot download a thing! If you have lectures online you need to set up on campus to be able to watch it.
-Price changes - University Village repeatedly stresses re-leasing...very early in the year. The due date to re-lease before the rates rise was OCTOBER 1st! I wasn't sold on living here next year and I called to get the cost of the raise and was originally quoted only a $25 increase to my rent. Now, however - I find out it's actually $50 more. When I called about a one bedroom I was initally quoted $675...but when I got serious about re-leasing a one bedroom later that week that price changed quickly to $695.
Basically, it's not a bad place but the price is absurd for what youre getting.
