These apartments need to be torn down, the manager need a management class, the owners in Atmore needs a reality check. River Oaks Apartments is Hell on Earth!!! I have lived at River Oaks for 2.5 years. When I first move, it was under a different manager and they were super and now managed Chapel Lakes. However, the current manager is an idiot. She is lazy and does not respond to problems in a speedy and quickly timeframe. She has hired a lot of cheap laborers to cut the grass and clean the carpet. When they cut the grass, they leave grass clipping all out the sidewalk, lawn, and patios. My patio wood has been rotten for 8 months and she has not done anything about it. When she first got here, I asked her to have maintainance to touch up my walls. They have not been done yet. Maintainance did come over to repair the AC Unit; however, I touch up a wall in my daughter's room rather than painting, he just used spray paint to touch up the area. I stop the carpet cleaning people that she start using to clean my carpet. They just came in and soaked the carpet and made it smell good but but did not remove any spots from the carpet. What joke!!! What a dump!!!!! She has the nerve to put a sign up called "rare vacancy". All you have to do is ride through and there are a lot of apartments available. Where I am currently at, the neighbors move every 6 months. I will be leaving this ---- hole soon.
