Beautiful apartments with a lot of amenities and horrible management.

I was taken in by the Greens appearance and amenities. At first glance it seemed wonderful, the model apartment was beautiful, the free golf, large workout room, tanning beds, pool, hot tub, pool table. Despite all this, if you are looking for someplace permanent to stay, I would suggest looking elsewhere. My rating is placed with an objective view of how it really is. The grounds are beautiful but little pieces of trash could stay in your front yard for days. The few dogs that are allowed to stay in the apartments are allowed to defecate anywhere they want and apparently just love my front yard. Those are small things. You could even say that you could live with that.
What makes The Greens a horrible place to live is the management that it's under. They have completely revamped the staff, with the exception of the main manager who is the true source of problems. If you have to speak to them for anything, don't expect to get very far unless you are one of the few lucky ones. God forbid you have a maintenance problem. The one time I had to report a problem, they came in my apartment with a scowl, gave me a lecture on problem, and left tracks all over the house. When they say 24 hour EMERGENCY maintenance, you have to be careful. It is them who deem what is emergency and if it's not deemed to be one, you're just out of luck. What I really hate is when you have to walk in to the office to go to the tub or use the amenities that comes with the rent. The face that you see on the staff is all you really need. It makes you think twice for going to use the amenities that is the only positive thing about the apartment. That's just bad business practice. The renters and customers are your bread and butter. I don't understand how they give such terrible customer service and get away with it. I guess like a lot of people say when I talk to them about it, they got taken in, signed the lease, then realize that they just made a Big mistake.
I have to say here that I am not a rule breaker. I throw my trash in the bags, leave my blinds down (you're not allowed to pull your blinds up), break down my boxes before I throw them away, actually sweep my porch (and still received a warning note for leaving a non-porch chair outside for one day)... I'm sorry but I have to warn you away from this apartment. It's not worth it having all the amenities in the world and living in such a beautiful place when you always have to worry about whether you are being taken care of by the management and where the management condescends on everyone. Live here at your own risk. I will be so glad when my lease is up.

I ALSO WITNESSED APPALLING BEHAVIOR BY THE STAFF AND WAS COMPLETELY TURNED OFF BY THE MANAGER. I SHOULD CONTACT LINDSEY AND REPORT THE "RACIAL COMMENTS" USED BY THE MANAGER I HAVE THOUGHT ABOUT TELLING THE YOUNG LADY IT WAS IN REGARD TO. ANYWAY, I'M GLAD THEY GOT MY DEPOSIT ONLY TOO. WE SHOULD STAND TOGETHER AS A COMMUNITY THIS IS A NICE COMPLEX AND LOCATION, TOO BAD THERE ARE SO MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE STAFF. I ACTUALLY FELT BAD FOR HAVING ASKED TO SEE AN APARTMENT AND FOUND MYSELF MAKING APOLOGIES. SCOWLS AND SNOOTY BEHAVIOR IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT.
I CAN'T BELIEVE THEIR ABLE TO GET AWAY WITH IT. I WAS TOLD BY THE WATER COMPANY AND ELECTRIC CO. THERE ARE PROBLEMS RECEIVING MAIL. SO RENTERS BEWARE. I THINK IF YOU KISS UP TO THE STAFF IT MIGHT HELP, BUT IF YOUR LIKE ME, AND DON'T WANT THAT OBLIGATION, LOOK ELSEWHERE.

All though the thought of moving again stinks, try the Fairways - just down the road. I lived at The Greens for 2 1/2 years then transferred my lease to The Fairways. They are a LOT nicer and the amentities are the same or better. I have been to the office a few times since moving and the staff is VERY friendly and helpful. Make the move - it's worth it!

I am another possible renter (executive) that they lost. It is amazing that nothing is being done about the management and staff.

Renters BEWARE! Pass this complex by. I lived in a deluxe apartment at this location for one year until my lease was up and everything mentioned above is true. The office staff is unbelievable. They are snooty, condescending and downright rude at all times. To say they are cliquish is an understatement. You are treated like royalty while you are being shown the place, but once they get your signature on the lease, things change quickly. Try being friendly and make small talk with any of the staff, and you will quickly find that they are not interested in being friendly back. Isn't it odd that your money is paying their salaries and they can't be down to earth. And when you do give your notice you are moving, things get even nastier and stay that way until your final day. There was additional rent due for 3 days on the month my last month because of the way they do their billing cycle.
