Do not go there

I lived in these apartments several months ago. I can not say how happy I was when I left. The maintenence personnel are completely lazy and they do not have the ability to use common sense. They charge people for their exterior light bulbs, that light the stairs, and they will walk into your apartment as if it were their own. If you are more than six days late, the apartment security officer, whom is a Cabot police officer, is given a key to your apartment. They will open your door, regardless of whether you are home or not, walk in, and leave a notice on your bar. The staff will smile at you but they seem to come across as if someone had smacked them with a wet towel. You will get a month notice of when they will spray. The maintenence man accompanies the exterminater into your apartment and he sprays 2 foot of the base board and leaves. I have never watched the manager accompany anyone into the apartments! My ceiling leaked, so instead of them fixing the leak, my daughter would walk across the kitchen floor and bust her @#$. They would slap some sheetrock mud over the bad spot, when they would actually come, and leave. The process continued until I left. My upstairs neighbor informed me that his AC unit was low on refrigerant and froze. When it unfroze, it dripped down through my ceiling. He told maintenence several times but they said that it was just the filter. My neighbor repaired air conditioner, so I have this feeling that he knew what was actually wrong. Yet, maintenence basically informed him that he did not know what he was talking about. If someone values their privacy and does not want people to walk into their apartments "like a revolving door", then I would suggest that they not move here. If you are lonely and tired to talking to your self, this would be the play because they are in your apartment, more than you are. Just hide your belongings, because the people coming in and out are unsupervised and vary. I almost forgot to include that the plumbing is always stopped up and you just about need to schedule an appointment, 1 month in advance, in order to get maintenence to even lie to you and say that they fixed the problem. The outer appearance of this apartment is fantastic but living there is a nightmare. when we moved out, back around March, I swore that I would never again try apartment life. I know that all apartments are not like this one, but it left a very bad taste in my mouth.

My wife and I actually had a similar problem with leaking. We lived on the first floor in the two bedroom apartments and there was a really bad leak whenever it rained. They gave us a shop-vac to clean it up, so I guess they were expecting us to stay up all night when it rained. They eventually moved us to another apartment (which they paid for the movers), but it was a handicap place which had less cabinet space in the kitchen, no pantry, and a oversized bathroom (for wheelchair accessibility). I told them that we had a lot of stuff and needed the pantry and cabinets, but they just replied by saying something like "Well, you wanted out of the other apartment didn't you?" Of course I did, who would want to live in a flooded apartment? They did provide us with some money to buy an exterior pantry though, which was nice; but I agree with your views on maintenance and how the people just seemed kind of shady.
