She's a nervous wreck

Karen and Jerry are the managers at the Cliffs II and I can confirm that Karen is a mess. Basically, she is so stressed out because she allows any little thing to bother her... not a good attribute for an apartment manager. She has literally made up her own rules about pets and posted them in the monthly calendar (they are not in my lease - I re-read it.): 1) Keep your dog on a leash (okay, no problem); 2) Pick up after your dog (great idea but noone else, including Karen, does this); and 3) ONLY WALK YOUR DOG AROUND YOUR BUILDING (What''' There are acres and acres of park area surrounding the complex and a 2-mile walking path which goes through the woods... only around your building'' Needless to say, I break this rule every day... sometimes twice a day).
One night in the spring after they first started there, I was walking my dog at night near the pool area. It was dark and after hours and Karen & Jerry were in the spa with Brenda & Dewitt (the nice couple who are now ex-assistant managers). I overheard Karen talking about ways to limit access to the pool because "the -------- from Cliffs I" were coming to our pool and "bringing their Mexican families and friends." After that, you had to go through the clubhouse and sign in to go to the pool. Also, Karen used to walk around the pool and ask people which apartment they lived in. A FemNazi of a manager. By the way, Karen and Jerry let their super long-haired dog swim in the pool at night while they are in the pool or spa... I don't think Lindsey Management would be thrilled with that.

I saw Karen and Jerry in the pool on SEVERAL occasions AFTER HOURS. They were VERY LOUD, and it was a DISTURBANCE to those of us who lived in the complex closest to the pool. There is no doubt in my mind that they were DRINKING in the pool after hours, even though alcohol is strictly FORBIDDEN. As big of a ---- as Karen is about tenants following the pool rules, you would think that she would have the courtesy and integrity to do the same. However, as other reviews point out, courtesy and integrity are obviously not important management criteria to Karen or Lindsey Properties.

I don't think it's a bad idea to limit access to the pool. Those that pay to live there should not have non-residants forced on them, Mexican or not.
As far as the rule about walking your dog around your building, I read that differently. An explanation is in order: The Cliff's II consists of numerous 12 unit buildings. Surrounding the area where these buildings are concentrated are the "acres and acres of park area" and the walking trail. The way I understood the rule put forth in the calandar, that residents should only walk their dogs around their own buildings, was that residents should not let their dogs nose around the bushes, under the windows, etc of other buildings other than their own. That's terribly invasive and I agree with that rule. As I understood it, the rule did NOT say that residents could not take their dogs on walks around the neighborhood.
Simple rule of thumb: when reading a rule, go with the more reasonable interpretation. Did you actually believe that you were not allowed to walk your dog around the neighborhood you pay to live in?
Perhaps your interpretation of this rule gives us better insight into your interpretations of other matters mentioned in your above comment.
