So, as most renters do, I paid for a background check before moving into the Southern View Apartments. No problem, right' It's pretty standard. Well, obviously the managers of this apartment complex felt that the money was better spent on something else. About half way through my lease I found out that a sex offender from Missouri had moved in next to me. And did not notify any of the residents that he was a registered sex offender. How did I find out that this had happened' He was arrested for trying to meet a made up 13 year old girl he had been talking to online (it was actually a cop). It was all over the news. The management never said a word. And when I went to ask them about it they asked, "what do you care, you're a little old for him, don't you think'"
