I know what the previous poster means when they talk about rude management. The management couple that live on-site are a horrendous pain to deal with on any subject. Mention them to any tenant and you get an immediate eye roll. People actually go to great lengths not to have to talk to them about anything, especially the wife. In any interaction, no matter how routine, they treat you like you are just scum and must have done something wrong, no matter what you are talking to them about. Seriously, why deal with that when you don't have to'

I left Southern View Phase 1 as soon as my first lease was up. They generally have a high occupancy rate, so there was no model to view when I first signed up. What I found when I moved in was a bland, beige no frills unit with mobile-home grade trim, appliances, vinyl and carpet. There were also signs of bad construction, like door trim put up in such a way that the raw edges of the sheetrock were exposed. A lot of college students live there, so as you might expect, there is a good bit of noise and late night activity. For the money you pay there, you can get apartments with real tile in the kitchen, modern nice carpet, and much better appliances in other complexes with property managers that treat you with respect. I just wish I had figured that out before I signed the lease.
