I am currently living at The Crossing and I love it. The main thing that surprises me is the noise level. When you are in your apartment you never hear your neighbors! In most apartments you can hear when the next door neighbor washes clothes, or takes a shower. There must be a lot of insulation in these walls because you never hear a peep. They changed management just as I moved here so I don't know how the old manager was. However, the current manager keeps this place in line. Some people may have issues with not being able to hang out outside the apartments and drink beer or loiter but, to me that's a good thing. I don't want my children to see that when they walk outside.
They are new apartments so when I first moved in there were a few issues. Like for instance, the garbage disposal wasn't hooked up and the refrigerator didn't work. But, within and hour of reporting these issues they were fixed.
Another thing that makes this a good place to live is the safety. I am a single woman and have never felt unsafe at any point. Yes, it's true the rent is a little on the high side (paying $725.00 for a 3 bedroom 2 bath) but for prompt maintenance, no noise and safety it's worth it. There are only two negative things I have to say about it. There is a slight humming (from the plumbing') in the walls. And, right now 2 buildings have covered parking. I think before they are finished they will all offer covered parking. The only down side to this is that you have to pay $20.00 a month on top of the rent to park there. The other parking is on the other side of the parking lot. But, altogether it's a pretty nice place to live in a great school district with a great surrounding neighborhood.
