I have lived here about 2 months and I really like this place. The maintenence is WONDERFUL, very efficient and nice people, the management is also friendly and have been helpful.
I really like the location, it is close to amenities such as Kroger, WalMart, Target and many restraunts, but it is off the main road and is pretty quiet here in the complex.
I have never had a problem with parking and I do not think the apartments are run down at all. In fact, I think the opposite is true, especially after viewing some other apartments in LR before I decided on Ashburry.
Also, the Ashburry offers many little perks such as poolside massages in the summer on Saturdays, continental breakfasts on Saturdays and free yoga classes on Tuesday nights.
The only problems I have really had here is that the dumpster does get full often, leading people to just pile their trash beside it. Also, some people here do not clean up after their pets so you have to watch your step sometimes. I would imagine these problems are pretty common at most apartments though.
This is a gated community which at first I thought was great but have now decided I could do without it. We did have a little problem with the satellite TV man not being able to get through the gates, but that was resolved. Just make sure to let the office know if you are expecting someone like that.
Anyway, I know this is lengthy, I just wanted to let people have an updated critique of this place since the last one was from nearly a year ago.
