Be it in your apartment or in the laundry facility things break or require some maintenance ; that s normal. At Briarwood it s the usual things that require repairs from time to time. Whatever issues you have the place to go is the leasing office / management.
I haven t had any personal issues with the people working in the leasing office. They have always listened to my maintenance requests. However, the problem is, despite of requesting the same repairs for many times over a period of almost a year the issues have remained unsolved. May be it is their policy not to provide the necessary level of care and maintenance to the rather old apartments. Or may be they are just unable to do a decent job (in regards to this subject) by not paying the necessary attention to it. Perhaps it has other reasons. In any case it leads to frustration on my side. [The fish always stinks from the head downwards]
Lately I told everybody in the leasing office that I have been waiting for repairs that I have requested many times within a year. Also, I told them that I m going to write a review in ApartmentRatings.com mentioning this problem. I was obviously upset. Surprisingly, no one even cared to apologize. It seems they are least bothered with the fact that a resident has to wait a year for the requested repairs to be done (currently they are still not done). Such things seem to be common at this place since this issue did not even raise an eyebrow in the leasing office (except for one person: a maintenance man a most kind and respectable gentleman). A maintenance person cannot do repairs (at least major or costly ones) that are not approved by the management. [The fish always stinks from the head downwards]
Where ever you go you will have some problems, be it with the appliances in your apartment, plumbing, noisy neighbors etc. You have to rely on the local apartment management, as the only place to contact, to solve these problems. These are the people that either can make your stay enjoyable or frustrating. [The fish always stinks from the head downwards]
So, try to find out as much as you can about the local management. The management at Briarwood needs a lot of improvement.

I am sorry you feel that way. Since I have lived here I havn't had a problem. The office and maint. staff are always friendly and willing to help whenever there is a problem. Have you let them know your maint. issues? I have referred many friends here and they love it as well. I am really mad I have to leave in November for training. I am in hopes of finding a nice apt like this one. I hate that you are having a hard time.
