If you like to keep your money after move-out; avoid like the plague.

IF you enjoy keeping your money after you move out, then Brightwater's (or any other of the Bailey properties) is not for you. After moving out of an apartment for which I shampooed the carpets myself and VERY thorougly cleaned throughout, Brightwater's management deemed the carpet ruined beyond repair. On comes a bill for $600 . The cause of the damage' A 3 pound Chihuahua that lived there for 3 months that was house trained. Upon receiving the bill, I called to ask for some evidence of the damage knowing that the apartment was in tip top shape after move out. I was hung up on, my husband called and was hung up on, and the proof of damages that were promised never arrived. I later had to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau just to recieve a copy of a statement from a carpet cleaner because several verbal, in addition to a request sent via certified mail, went unanswered. Instead of answering these requests, I was sent to a collection agency. If you do decide to take a chance and move in to these apartments, document with photos, both before and after move out. Document the carpet especially close. The management company WILL NOT go out of their way to provide any evidence of damages, but will instead choose to ignore you and refer you to a collection agency.
Also, the manager at this complex is not afraid to come into your apartment any time the door is open. If you enjoy your privacy and want to avoid that, keep your door closed and locked at all times.
