Looks all nice and wonderful until you start living here! There's a reason for the cheap rent. They say that they have a 24 hour maintenance policy but it's more like 24 month. Administrative building always opens late and closes early, rarely returns phone calls. We've lived here four months- our dryer is broken, our kitchen and bathroom sinks leak, our refridgerator leaks a copper colored liquid inside on our food and leaks out onto the kitchen floor- always wet! But that was nothing.

Last week our apartment flooded because of rain, apparently our building (5) has had poor irrigation problems. We called and they didn't do anything but leave a fan at our door. (We even found a worm in our closet) They never contacted us to see if things were better. It happened again the next week, the closet and some of the bedroom carpeting were completely saturated and growing mold. We felt sick while living here. While we kept contacting them, management did nothing until we wrote a formal letter telling them that we either wanted a change in apartments or let out of our lease. So far we have gotten neither and the smell is so bad and sickening in here that we can't even sleep in our apartment at night.

Oh, and the speed bumps you have to cross multiple times a day are the absolute worst. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Pay the extra $100 a month.

I agree on the office opening late and closing early. The speed bumps are there for a good reason though. People speed through the parking lot like it is a city street, and its NOT. Many people jog, walk, or are walking their pets. The speed bumps were installed to people safe from people who think the Calais parking lot is Daytona Speedway!

We do hate to see reviews like this one. We did try to contact you several times about your flooding situation with no response in return. What were we supposed to think? We hate that your apartment flooded and that you had to suffer from a drainage problem, but we did do everything in our power to quickly correct the problem. With two weeks of horrible weather it was extremely hard to get a vendor out here. Also, it is not our maintenance at fault for your flooding. As far as the other maintenance issues please tell us about them prior to telling the world on apartment ratings.com so that we can take care of them. We were very suprised to find this rating on here this morning after reading your sweet apology letter.
