I've lived in Calais forest since February of 2009 and It's a great place to live! I have a recently renovated apartment with marble counter tops in the kitchen and bathroom. The fireplace is a nice feature and the washer and dryer in unit are EXTREMELY convienent (I must admit the washer/dryer are a little smaller than I originally anticipated considering the fact that I am expecting a new baby BUT they still get the job done!). Anytime I need ANYTHING repaired it is always fixed in a timely manner. The staff were extremely helpful through my entire moving process the manager even called me personally at work to welcome me to the community and to see if I needed anything! This was a great indication of what I could expect in the future from the entire staff. The grounds and landscape are very pleasant and scenic. I have't actually taken advantage of any of the other great amenities such as the tennis court or fitness center but I will get around to it. A majority of my neightbors are/have been very pleasant for the most part. The only downside is the occasional noise from the upstairs apartment. It's not noisey on a regular basis but when it does occur it is extremely annoying! I'm not petty or want to be a nusciance so I don't try and make a big deal out of every little thing. But once I report the noise issue the staff attempt to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. But for the great apartment, price, and ALL of the amenities I am willing to put up with a little noise. I won't allow one person to ruin such a great place for me and my bundle of joy! This is absolutely TRUE! Having lived at Calais for almost 11 years, it gets a bad rap because it is not PERFECT. Let me just say that NO place is PERFECT.... but I can't imagine living in a different apartment complex so long as I live in a Little Rock apartment. The staff is very kind and accommodating, and they work with renters to meet individual needs - especially in the faltering economy. The value of what we receive is tremendous. Not only is service great, it is delivered when it is requested, when it is needed, and with utmost courtesy.

I agree with you. I enjoyed my five years there with the exception of parking and the noise factor. I'd still be there had I not married and needed a larger place to accomodate unexpected family members.
