I've lived at Carrington Park for about 3 years now. When I first moved here everything was great b/c he back of my apt. looked out at woods, which gave you a sense of privacy. Now, a subdivision is being built in that very area and thus no more trees or privacy.
I saw in a previous review about the cow pasture/barns. That property has now been sold to one of those mega (six flags over jesus) churches and will eliminate that country feel to the place.
Here are a few tips for this place:
**Don't Live downstairs! Living downstairs sucks b/c the ceilings are quite thin and you can hear EVERYTHING, especially if you have a t-rex as a neighbor. On the other hand, there is less space upstairs b/c of the stairs (internal).
**Parking sucks! There are a few marked spots for specific buildings, but that's about it. If you you live with another person then you WILL have problems if you get home after 6 pm. (cst).
**Be prepared for rent increases! Even if you have lived here forever, they will not reward you.
**Love the color BEIGE! Personally, I used to dig this color, but now it's almost getting on my nerves b/c it's everywhere! You CAN repaint but you have to repaint b4 moving.
**No HDTV or DVR! This is one of my biggest complaints. We can ONLY get AT&T Direct TV and all the signals are stacked together thus not allowing individual ones for DVRs.
**Small porches/balconies! Self explanatory.
**Pay for your own water!
**Cheap building materials (e.g., windows that let in cold/heat, plastic sinks, toilet lids, faux crown molding)
If these issues don't bother you then you may actually like it here. The staff is friendly and maintenance is quick to fix. Honestly, I would move, but it's just WAY too much trouble b/c I plan on moving into a house soon. Hope this helps!
